The thing with affiliate marketing is, you don’t just try to sell something merely because it pays you a high commission, but you must know the people who will likely purchase the product. Here is what I mean.
If the bulk of the people who join your WhatsApp marketing group or email list are in their early twenties, there is little point in trying to promote how to prevent birth injuries, real estate business, or other things that appeal to the elderly.
You will do far better finding affiliate offers for lifestyle, technology, and consumer products.
The good news is that if you are using Facebook ads to drive traffic to the product you want to promote, you have the option to select the age groups such as from 18-25, and 26-60+.

From there, you hold a WhatsApp group class with your members by sharing info about the subject matter + how the product you are promoting solves the challenge of the subject matter. And lastly, share your affiliate link with them to buy the product.
And when they do, you get paid a commission.
If you choose an Email Service for Marketing: this marketing involves building an email list and promoting an affiliate product to them.

Like we already said that there are currently 2 ways to make money on the Expertnaire website. The first way is as a Course Vendor, and the second way is as an affiliate member promoting affiliate programs on the platform.
Let’s see how to become a course owner.
Requirements to become a Vendor on Expertnaire
First off, a course vendor is a digital product owner who lists his or her products on Expertnaire for members to promote.
To become a vendor on affiliates, you must:
- Accept the Vendor’s terms of the Expertnaire platform.
Contact Expertnaire support for a request to list your digital course. - Pay an annual fee of ₦25,000 only as a vendors’ account management fee.
- You have to submit the details of your online course along with the sales page.
- You must submit only the original online product you own and not repurposed.
- You must determine and inform Expertnaira how much commissions you want to pay affiliates.
- As a vendor, you agree not to offer the same product listed on the Expertnaire marketplace for a different price somewhere else.
- You have to be available for customer inquiries.
- All digital products and content must be suitable for digital delivery.
- Must not submit any product(s) or content that are offensive in nature.

First off, what if you want to join as an ordinary affiliate? No problem, let’s see the steps.
Before Expertnaire cancelled her affiliate referral program, it used to be that you would get ₦3,000 per new member that signs up via your link. That is, by paying the ₦10,000 membership fee.

As an Affiliate, kindly note that you must have a minimum of ₦5,000 in your Expertnaire balance to qualify for a weekly payment on Friday, while vendors are paid twice a month.
Why are Affiliates not paid on their first sale?
Please note that you will not receive a commission on your very first sale for any product. This is to prevent the incentive for affiliate ‘fraud’ where an affiliate plays the system by granting themselves an instant discount (in the form of their affiliate commission) by purchasing a product through their own affiliate link.
From the second sale onwards, your affiliate commissions will be registered as usual. If you believe that, as an affiliate, you will only generate one sale per product promoted, Expertnaire says you must not sign up as an affiliate.
Additionally, Funds generated from affiliates will be released about 3 days after the refund period has expired.
